  • Margery is a playwright, actor and singer. With her partner Michael, Margery co-wrote CRIBBE for 4MBS Classic Arts (Three seasons including a sell-out return season at the Cremorne and Queensland tour in 2014. Published by Playlab Press). In 2013 Margery and Michael co-wrote HEART OF AN OPEN COUNTRY for the Queensland Music Festival. With Michael she co-wrote the script and lyrics for the music theatre work BEHIND THE CANE for the Queensland Music Festival 2011 (AWGIE nomination 2012, published by Playlab Press). Other playwrighting credits include commissions for La Boite Theatre - JAMES AND JONNO (Queensland and national tour), MILO'S WAKE (New South Wales Premier’s Literary Award for Best Stage Play, Matilda Award, Perform/4MBS Award, AWGIE Nomination. National tour, international productions New Zealand, London, Edinburgh Festival, translated production in Tokyo. Published by Currency Press).

    Margery and Michael’s work in verbatim theatre is the subject of a doctoral thesis by Doctor Brent Downes, completed in 2013. Margery has received the Trust Award for Excellence for Outstanding Contribution to Theatre in Queensland and Australia, the Playlab Award for Services to New Work in Queensland and the Centenary Medal for Services to Queensland Theatre.

When his younger sister, Stacy, wants to check out the rave scene, Ben knows he'll have to watch out for her. And tonight she's going to drop her first ecstasy tab. Later, when everything goes totally wrong, Ben can't forgive himself and his mother retreats into the Church. But it is time to face up to the truth about what really happened that night.
